Chrysler Recalls Dodge Ram 4500 and 5500 Series for Loss of Steering Control

Washington, DCChrysler Group LLC is recalling about 22,274 Dodge Ram 4500 and 5500 vehicles model year 2008-2011. These vehicles may experience a weakening and fracture of the left ball stud on the tie rod resulting in a potential loss of steering.

A loss of steering control of the vehicle could increase the risk of a crash.

Chrysler will notify owners and repair as necessary free of charge. The safety recall is expected to begin during February 2011.
