A $117.5 million dollar settlement is about to be decided on in the class action lawsuit filed against Farmers Insurance Group on behalf of hundreds of thousands of Texans. The suit claimed that Farmers overcharged its customers, using discriminatory and illegal methods. Under the terms of settlement the company would be required to change some practices, cut their rates by 6.8 percent and to refund and credit customers for overcharges. (May-19-03) [STATESMAN]

My husband and I had auto policies with Farmers for years, they were charging $700.00 each automobile instead of 1 account they were charging for 2 separate accounts.
