Cherryfield Foods, Inc., Jasper Wyman & Son, Inc., and Allen's Blueberry Freezer, Inc.

A $56 million verdict has been reached in the class action lawsuit filed on behalf of wild blueberry growers from Maine who directly or indirectly sold wild blueberries to any defendant from February 28, 1996 through February 28, 2000. The suit alleged that the defendants had engaged in a four-year price-fixing conspiracy to fix the base price which the defendants paid to approximately 800 growers for wild blueberries. (Nov-18-03)
