A class action lawsuit was filed in Madison County on behalf of consumers regarding the value several insurers assigned to wrecked vehicles. The lawsuit alleged that insurers obtained biased valuation reports from CCC Information Services and improperly reduced the value of vehicles they declared total losses. Dozens of insurers have agreed to pay a $92 million class action settlement to approximately 4 million U.S. residents. (Jan-03-06)

Geico overestimated my repairs and underestimated the value of my car in order to declare it a total loss. I have major mechanical with unlimited milage. Geico has since limited this mileage to 100,000 miles. They want to remove the cars who are in the unlimited status.
