Santa Clara, CA: A consumer fraud class action lawsuit has been filed against Zara, alleging the fashion retailer intentionally misleads customers into believing they are buying goods at a savings.
The lawsuit, filed by Devin Rose in California, claims that Zara deliberately uses “bait and switch” tactics to lure customers into its stores.
Specifically, the complaint alleges that Zara lists prices in Euros to entice customers into believing the pricing is low. However, the items are actually sold in US dollars at a currency exchange rate far above anything being advertised anywhere.
The potential class could number in the millions of customers.
The plaintiff is represented b the law firm Geragos & Geragos.
