A class action lawsuit has been filed against Captain William Jackson Hospital located in Labrador, Newfoundland. The suit was filed on behalf of approximately 300 women who were patients of the hospital's gynecology clinics between October 2001 and March 2003. The suit alleges that the instruments used in the clinics may not have been properly sterilized. Several of the plaintiffs have been diagnosed with diseases such as Chlamydia in relation to the unsterilized equipment.
