Wal-Mart, NJ
A class action lawsuit has been filed against Wal-Mart on behalf of immigrants who were working as janitors for the company and were arrested by federal immigration agents on Oct. 23, 2003. The workers, who were charged with immigration violations, claim that the company and its janitorial contractors, Facility Solutions Inc., Facility Solutions International and Mitchell Industries, violated "immigration and protective wage and hour laws and other laws for their own profit and benefit." The plaintiffs in this case worked at either the Wal-Mart in Old Bridge or in Piscataway, New Jersey.
