A class action lawsuit has been commenced in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts on behalf of purchasers of the common stock of Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated ("Vertex" or the "Company") (NASDAQ: VRTX) between June 12, 2007 and November 2, 2007, inclusive (the "Class Period").
