Las Vegas, NV: The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas is facing a unpaid overtime class action, with as many as 7,000 current and former employees potentially joining the suit.
Specifically, the wage and hour lawsuit alleges Cosmopolitan hotel employees continued to work even though they were officially "off the clock,"that they weren't paid for the overtime, and that they experienced miscalculations of the overtime rate of pay.
The lawsuit further alleges that the hotel workers were required to change into and out of work uniforms on-site without being paid for that time.
The 2,995-room hotel-casino is owned by Deutsche Bank and is marketed through Marriott International' Autograph Collection of independent properties.
The plaintiffs, represented by attorney Mark Thierman of the Thierman Law Firm are seeking $70 million in damages.
