A class action lawsuit has been filed against Universal Life Resources. The suit alleges that the company accepts fees to recommend a small number of preferred insurers, yet represents itself to benefits plans as an unbiased broker. The suit accuses Universal Life of accepting "secret payments" from a handful of insurers "to make sure that they, and not their competitors, got the business."
