A class action lawsuit has been filed accusing Tyson foods of deceptive marketing. The suit alleged that Tyson labeled its chicken as "raised without antibiotics" or "100 percent all natural", when they knew they used antibiotics in raising their chickens.
Tyson began a huge marketing campaign in June 2007 in order to attract consumers wanting healthier products. The complaint states that Tyson used antibiotics two or three days before the chicken eggs hatched.
The Food and Safety Inspection Service has given Tyson until July 9 to stop using the misleading label.
