Class action status has been granted to plaintiffs in a suit against Tri-State Crematory. The suit names 56 funeral homes located in Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama, and charges the firms with improper cremations and the desecration of human remains. Eligible plaintiffs in the case involve next of kin of descendents who were brought to the crematoriums from 1988 to 2002.
