Class action status has been granted in a lawsuit filed against Ticketmaster and Madison Square Garden on behalf of 7,840 consumers who purchased tickets to Michael Jackson's 30th anniversary concert in September 2001. The suit alleges that the defendants sold seats with obstructed views, gave the plaintiffs "no advance notice that their seats were inadequate for viewing purposes." The suit charges Ticketmaster with deceptive business practices and breach of contract.
