A class action lawsuit has been filed against the basketball club for allegedly violating Washington state's Consumer Protection Act for not honoring a commitment to keep the Sonics in Seattle until 2010. The class action was filed in King County Superior Court on behalf of season ticket holders at KeyArena. Fans claim Oklahoma City-based Professional Basketball Club LLC was involved in deceptive marketing while contemplating moving the team to Oklahoma. The new owners want out of the team's lease to the arena, and the new Sonics chairman recently sought arbitration to buy out the rest of the team's lease.
