Santa Clara, CA: A consumer fraud class action lawsuit has been filed in California against UniRush alleging its prepaid Visa cards, called RushCards, denied account holders access to funds held in customer accounts, misappropriated funds held in those accounts and unlawfully imposed fees and charges.
Filed by card holder Calvin Smith, individually and for all others similarly situated, the lawsuit names UniRush LLC doing business as UniRush Financial Services, Rush Communications LLC, Rush Communications of NYC Inc., Meta Financial Group Inc., and MetaBank, as defendants.
Specifically, the suit alleges negligence, fraud and misrepresentation, unjust enrichment, breach of contract, conversion, breach of fiduciary duty and violations of California business and civil codes.
Smith and others in the class are represented by attorneys Todd M. Friedman, Meghan E. George and Adrian R. Bacon of the Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman in Beverly Hills, California. The case is US District Court for the Central District of California Case number 2:16-CV-02533-SVW-E.

I have a rush card that had exp 2/2017. I was sent an updated rush Jan 2017. New exp date 1/2020. they tell me they can't update my card because they it was not sent by them. Then I was told that it would be active in two business days. Rush card wants to charge me $30 to get my money that was directed the deposit sent to me though a wire transfer. Or they can Expedited a card for $40. I know had a company to try and robe a person blind. I needs some answer on what to do. This is happing on the time.

I have had one for YEARS and have had several issues with the funds being accessible. We wondered if something illegal was going on.
