A class action lawsuit has been filed against Virginia Mason Medical Center on behalf of patients who are not fully covered by insurance. The suit alleges unfair and deceptive practices and claims that the center charges patients more at some clinics than others, and that patients are not told about this discrepancy ahead of time. According to the plaintiff's attorney, for patients to be good consumers health-care providers must give them enough information to make choices.
