The Foundation for Taxpayer and Consumer Rights has filed a class action lawsuit in Los Angeles alleging Apple is breaking its product warranty by charging $25 to replace screens on defective iPod nanos. Screens of the thin music player scratch easily and leave the devices unusable. The lawsuit seeks free replacement of the music players or refunds to dissatisfied customers. The lawsuit also requests that Apple add scratching and cracking to its warranty coverage.
