A class action lawsuit has been filed against 24 storage and MP3 companies for allegedly fixing the price of NAND flash memory devices. The lawsuit was filed in the US District Court of the Northern District of California on behalf of flash memory buyers. It seeks restitution, injunction and damages, including triple damages, in an unspecified amount
NAND flash memory chips, used in digital consumer electronics products including music players and cameras, and DRAM, or dynamic random access memory, chips used in personal computers.
The class action suit reportedly involves SanDisk Corp., Lexar, Hitachi America, Hitachi Ltd., Hitachi Electronic Devices USA, Hynix Semiconductor America, Hynix Semiconductor, Micron Technology, Micron Semiconductor Products, Mitsubishi, Samsung and others.
