The NAACP, La Raza and the Disabled Rights Action Committee have filed a class action lawsuit against the county on behave of low income families. The lawsuit claims the lack of affordable housing violates the federal Fair Housing Act and that the county's zoning practices are discriminatory. Plaintiffs are seeking $10 million in actual damages and $30 million in punitive damages.
