A lawsuit seeking class action status has been filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California on behalf of all persons who purchased the publicly traded securities of Leadis Technology, Inc. ("Leadis") pursuant to the Registration Statement and Prospectus for its initial public offering ("IPO") on June 16, 2004.
The Complaint alleges that Leadis violated federal securities laws by including false or misleading information in its offering documents. Specifically, the Complaint alleges that those documents failed to disclose that Leadis was engaging in overshipments of its OLED product. On October 22, 2004, Leadis announced that its fourth quarter results would be much lower than analysts' expectations because a drop in sales from OLED was going to hurt profit in the quarter as handset makers bought less expensive equipment. On that news, Leadis stock fell from a close of $16.94 per share on October 21, 2004, to close at $8.79 per share on October 22, 2004.
If you acquired the securities of the defendants during the Class Period you may, no later than the Lead Plaintiff Deadline shown above, request that the Court appoint you as lead plaintiff through counsel of your choice. You may also choose to remain an absent class member. A lead plaintiff must meet certain requirements.
