, a subsidiary of AirGate PCS, has filed for bankruptcy protection in the Federal Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia. iPCS operates Sprint's PCS network in parts of Illinois, Michigan, Iowa and Nebraska, and serves more than 235,000 customers. The company has sought financial support from Sprint to pay creditors, but when Sprint refused to financially help the company, iPCS was forced to seek protection from the bankruptcy court. iPCS is also claiming that Sprint has violated terms of their affiliate agreement.
