ILX Resorts Inc.

A class action lawsuit has been filed against ILX Resorts Inc., the parent company of Los Abrigados Resort and Spa, a timeshare resort in Sedona, Arizona. The suit alleges that the defendants engaged in "a pattern of deception" by selling timeshares and memberships to the company's Premiere Vacation Club although all of the 9,100 rooms at Los Abrigados had been booked. The suit claims that often when timeshare members would call to book a week, they would be told that nothing was available, yet they were still required to pay the $550 maintenance fees whether they had stayed there or not. In addition, the plaintiffs could not sell back their timeshare without losing a substantial amount of money. The suit alleges that there could be thousands of class members involved in the suit, each with claims that could be millions of dollars.

We purchased our property in May of 2006 . And we had purchased a copper membership which is odd years every other year stay at a studio suit. Los Abrigotos AZ had told us each time we wanted to stay our week we only had enough points to stay for 4 nights when our purchase deed stated we have 7 days . We paid $6995.00 for a studio suit with option to trade points to other locations in the country . With ILX selling our deeded property to Diamond resorts changed things. We have been paying increased maintenance fees for some time now. We had tried on several occasions to get rid of this timeshare but DRI could not accomdiate us. We recently stayed at our share only to find people not being deedowners staying for far less than we have paid for maintenance fees. We are now trying to give our deed back for a total loss.

Diamond Resorts is not giving us sufficient points for timeshares we purchased, nor giving us sufficient time to use them.
