Iowa Car Manufacturers
A class action lawsuit has been filed against all major car manufacturers in Iowa on behalf of any person who purchased a new car in the state since Oct. 17, 1999. The suit alleges that the defendants have been blocking the consumers' access to less expensive cars that are intended for sale in Canada. The suit alleges that in Canada, the cars are priced at least 10% less than the identical car in the US, which amounts to a $2,500 difference per vehicle.
