A class action lawsuit has been filed against the truck stops for allegedly shorting customers on fuel. The lawsuit was filed in US District Court in Brunswick on behalf of trucking companies and individuals who purchased fuel from Cisco Travel Plazas from 2002 to 2008. The Georgia Agriculture Department shut down the businesses' in February 2008 after finding customers were shorted about one quart of fuel for every five gallons the pump gauges said was dispensed.
The class action claims the pumps were deliberately altered because all the pumps at both stations were shorting customers. The suit names Cisco Travel Plaza in Kingsland and Cisco Travel Plaza II in St. Marys as defendants.
