The personal computer manufacture is under attack with allegations of bait and switch financing. The Round Rock and CIT Bank Inc. were also named in the class action suit that claims the three violated New York false advertising and deceptive acts. Consumers are lured into purchasing a Dell Computer with low financing rate then switched to higher terms with hidden late fees and excessive interest rates. (Mar-04-05)

Have a computer that's no good. Paid money and was never credited for it. In my complaint/demand told them I refused to pay and this in on credit report now because they refused to contact us or fix it. Emotional stress of dealing with their attorney who is harassing and threatening us.

I purchased a new Dell computer from a Dell Kiosk at a shopping mall in Los Angeles. I chose to pay for it with monthly payments, was told that the first year was free of interest. At the end of the first year, the company added on to my account all of the interest for the first year in direct contradiction to what I was told. Dell's finance department said they have no reponsibility for what their salesman told me. With other such offers, like with credit cards, a year without interest means you will not be charged interest for the first year. I believe that Dell is being intentionally deceptive and that they are reponsible for what their salesman told me.
