A $250 million national class action lawsuit has been filed alleging the railway misclassified more than 1,000 supervisors as managers to avoid paying overtime. The lawsuit claims Canadian National Railway Company deprived current and former first line supervisors of hundreds of hours of unpaid overtime. The Canada Labour Code requires federally regulated corporations to pay overtime to their non-management employees.
