Centerpoint Energy Inc. et. al.
October 18 2004
A class action lawsuit has been filed against Centerpoint Energy Inc. and other natural gas suppliers on behalf of millions of residential customers in Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Mississippi and Minnesota. My bill from centerpoint has quadrupled in one month from 190 a month to 875 a month . Mind you I have all energy star appliances all led lighting very well insulated and I keep e everything not in use unplugged . I dont even have a furnace. They disconnected my electric Feb 15th and the shut off date wasn't until March 5th

I live in 450 sqft and I use propane especially in the winter. Never had a bill over $120 in the winter but the last two months my bill has been $370. Broken down it’s $120 for electric and $150 in distribution fees. I don’t have a gas meter on my property. This is ridiculous what center point is doing.

I was disconnected after being less than 15 days late. I am being charged $60 dollars for a $25 dollar bill. This should be illegal.

the increase in prices in Minnesota have gone up dramatically. Also on at least two occasions payments made to the company were taken and not applied to the bills.
