The Funeral Consumers Alliance along with 8 citizens filed a class action lawsuit against the companies for allegedly violating the Funeral Rule set out by the Federal Trade Commission. The defendants allegedly penalized consumers for purchasing caskets from independent discounters and forces other to buy funeral packages with unnecessary extras.
