Temporary employees who worked as admissions advisors allegedly did not receive overtime payments, according to a class action type lawsuit. A U.S. Judge in Illinois Northern District ruled that the temporary advisors for the company and American InterContinental University who worked as far back as 2001 should be given the option to join the lawsuit. The suit alleges that employees are entitled to receive overtime payment of 10 to 15 hours per week, which works out to approximately $15,000 in overtime per employee per year.
