A class action lawsuit has been certified against , a national drug distribution firm, and its local office IPC Pharmacy. The suit was filed on behalf of residents of Hawaii who are alleging that the company sold recycled drugs to approximately 4,000 Hawaii senior citizens and other residents without disclosing that they were recycled. According to the suit, the company would accept medications back from nursing homes and would then relabel and recycle them into bulk container bottles. There could be thousands of consumers involved in the suit, with damages estimated to be in the millions of dollars.
