A class action lawsuit has been filed against several alcohol companies, including Coors Brewing Co. and Heineken; distilled spirits manufacturers Mark Anthony Brands, Bacardi USA, Bacardi Group, Brown-Forman, Diageo, and Kobrand and the Beer Institute. The suit alleges that the companies have been marketing their products to underage consumers, claiming a "long-running, sophisticated, and deceptive scheme to market alcoholic beverages to children and other underage consumers." The suit further claims that the companies are violating the District of Columbia's consumer-protection law.
