Madison, WI: An unpaid overtime class action lawsuit has been filed by a former Epic Systems employee. In his lawsuit against the Verona-based health care software giant, Evan Nordgren alleges the defendant failed to pay himself and up to another 1,000 employees past and present, overtime wages.
Nordgren was employed as in quality assurance at Epic, but no longer works at the company. The lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court, alleges that Epic denied overtime pay to Nordgren and other quality assurance employees over a three-year period preceding the filing of the lawsuit. Specifically, the lawsuit alleges Nordgren and other quality assurance workers regularly worked more than 40 hours a week without receiving overtime compensation to which they were entitled.
The lawsuit states that they are not and were not exempt from overtime pay under state and federal law.
