Class action status is being sought in a lawsuit filed against 7-Eleven Inc. and MDK, the previous owners of the 7-Eleven gas station in Goshen, Indiana. The suit alleges that benzene vapors have leaked from the company's underground storage tanks, causing health problems for the residents in the gas station's neighborhood. The suit further claims that public records show that the ground water in the neighborhood contained high levels of benzene that exceeded the levels determined safe for drinking.
